God's Wonderful Love

 Population

16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite, and the Gergesite, 17 The Hevite and the Aracite: the Sinite, 18 And the Aradian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite: and afterwards the families of the Chanaanites were spread abroad. 19 And the limits of Chanaan were from Sidon as one comes to Gerara even to Gaza, until thou enter Sodom and Gomorrha, and Adama, and Seboim even to Lesa. 20 These are the children of Cham in their kindreds, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.

21 Of Sem also, the father of all the children of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born. 22 The sons of Sem: Elam and Assur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. 23 The sons of Aram: Us and Hull, and Gether, and Mess. 24 But Arphaxad begot Sale, of whom was born Heber. 25 And to Heber were born two sons: the name of the one was Phaleg, because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name Jectan.
Genesis 10:16-25

The population as we know it has grown so much since the days of the beginning of time. If we could trace our lineage back to the beginning we all would have a common bond. That of being brothers and sisters of one set of parents. In one regard they set out to do exactly what God asked of them, to multiply. We wouldn't be here if they didn't. Reading of how life began and the following continuation of life, how can we not be amazed by it all. Just reading of their life spans had to make us realize it took years and years for so much to develop. But when we think about this we live in a time when we want instant results most of the time. When they lived long lives to accomplish so much in the way of what we see today of history. They didn't kill their babies like our time period does. The created life and continued to grow and populate the earth. A common bond shared in how they lived. They were like flowers blossoming in a beautiful garden. We live in a tumultous world that hinders us from doing God's will to create life. To pass on to the next generation the love of God and the fruits of our lives. The seed that grows and never dies.

 And They Grew

6 And the sons of Cham: Chus, and Mesram, and Phuth, and Chanaan. 7 And the sons of Chus: Saba, and Hevila, and Sabatha, and Regma, and Sabatacha. The sons of Regma: Saba and Dadan. 8 Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty on the earth. 9 And he was a stout hunter before the Lord. Hence came a proverb: Even as Nemrod the stout hunter before the Lord. 10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Arach, and Achad, and Chalanne in the land of Sennaar.

9 "A stout hunter"... Not of beasts but of men: whom by violence and tyranny he brought under his dominion. And such he was, not only in the opinion of men, but before the Lord, that is, in his sight who cannot be deceived.

11 Out of that land came forth Assur, and built Ninive, and the streets of the city, and Chale. 12 Resen also between Ninive and Chale: this is the great city. 13 And Mesraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Laabim, Nepthuim, 14 And Phetrusim, and Chasluim; of whom came forth the Philistines, and the Capthorim. 15 And Chanaan begot Sidon, his firstborn, the Hethite,
Genesis 10:6-15

By now we are seeing the growth of the family seed and all the cities that have been built. The population has grown quite nicely. Doesn't that remind us of how we too populate areas. We have cities and many leave to go off to the suburbs and then some go even farther away from a populated place to live away from the heat, noise and pollution that surrounds an area. Cities an uncontrollable garden of people overcome by weeds. A veritable jungle of people. The same can be said of the workplace, it's a jungle overcome by weeds. Amazing we aren't known as flowers in a cities or in the workplace either. Weeds tend to have a bad name for the way they overtake places. Nemrod the stout hunter before the Lord knew a firm hand was needed. We all know that too but we fail to live in peace. Our actions against others often show the weeds that clutter our hearts and all too often we see how it spreads to others and invades them too. Just like a city that once was beautiful and now is filled with turmoil. It does seem to look as if evil truly has spread doesn't it. Love often cannot be found where weeds have grown.

 Turning Points

24 And Noe awaking from the wine, when he had learned what his younger son had done to him, 25 He said: Cursed be Chanaan, a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said: Blessed be the Lord God of Sem, be Chanaan his servant. 27 May God enlarge Japheth, and may he dwell in the tents of Sem, and Chanaan be his servant. 28 And Noe lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years: 29 And all his days were in the whole nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

1 These are the generations of the sons of Noe: Sem, Cham, and Japheth: and unto them sons were born after the flood. 2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Thubal, and Mosoch, and Thiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer: Ascenez and Riphath and Thogorma. 4 And the sons of Javan: Elisa and Tharsis, Cetthim and Dodanim. 5 By these were divided the islands of the Gentiles in their lands, every one according to his tongue and their families in their nations.
Genesis 9:23-29,10:1-5

We all have moments in our lives when we do something that causes some form of embarrassment, either to ourselves or to others. Alcohol has a tendency to change the character of a person. It happened to Noah when he didn't realize how potent wine was. What he did and how he acted we may never know, only what was revealed about his condition. Being found in such a way I'm sure didn't sit too well with him as we come to understand his cursing. Don't we tend to get angry or upset when we are confronted with our embarrassing moments. One thing in our time that has become a fad is to make a show of our embarrassing moments to win a prize for it. Life at its best has it's foilables as well as gracious moments. We often seem to recall these times when we gather together and regall others with our tales of misfortune or most embarrassing moments. I know myself when I have had moments when I either said or did something that caused myself to want to bury myself out of embarrassment or regret. But as we all know, time has a way of letting us see in a different light that those moments are not all that bad. When we look back it is often with laughter at those moments, but as with Noah it was a moment as head of the family that his guard was down. We are human after all and we do make mistakes even when we try to live as God intended. When we are vulnerable in our nakedness that's when we find out the truth when others help to cover up our nakedness with their love. Not the nakedness the flesh but that of being completely vunerable to others.

 Bow in the Sky

14 And when I shall cover the sky with clouds, my bow shall appear in the clouds: 15 And I will remember my covenant with you, and with every living soul that beareth flesh: and there shall no more be waters of a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And the bow shall be in the clouds, and I shall see it, and shall remember the everlasting covenant, that was made between God and every living soul of all flesh which is upon the earth. 17 And God said to Noe: This shall be the sign of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh upon the earth. 18 And the sons of Noe who came out of the ark, were Sem, Cham, and Japheth: and Cham is the father of Chanaan. 19 These three are the sons of Noe: and from these was all mankind spread over the whole earth. 20 And Noe, a husbandman, began to till the ground, and planted a vineyard.

21 And drinking of the wine was made drunk, and was uncovered in his tent. 22 Which when Cham the father of Chanaan had seen, to wit, that his father's nakedness was uncovered, he told it to his two brethren without. 23 But Sem and Japheth put a cloak upon their shoulders, and going backward, covered the nakedness of their father: and their faces were turned away, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
Genesis 9:14-23

Every now and then after it rains we are graced with the beauty of the rainbow. It doesn't happen all the time but only when the sun shines. Science will say it's due to the refraction of light, but God still created it in the first place. It's his constant reminder of the covenant he made with Noah. We have to remember that the rains had stopped and after a period of time the waters had gone down in order for them to leave the ark. When they received the bow in the sky it was by God's hand. We still receive it ourselves when we see it as a reminder of his covenant. A glorious symbol of his love for us. I don't question what was written in regards to how he made it all happen because I love him enough to believe in the truth of what has passed on from generation to generation. His eternal covenant of love for mankind.

 In His Image

4 Saving that flesh with blood you shall not eat. 5 For I will require the blood of your lives at the hand of every beast, and at the hand of man, at the hand of every man, and of his brother, will I require the life of man. 6 Whosoever shall shed man's blood, his blood shall be shed: for man was made to the image of God. 7 But increase you and multiply, and go upon the earth, and fill it. 8 Thus also said God to Noe, and to his sons with him, 9 Behold I will establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you: 10 And with every living soul that is with you, as well in all birds as in cattle and beasts of the earth, that are come forth out of the ark, and in all the beasts of the earth. 11 I will establish my covenant with you, and all flesh shall be no more destroyed with the waters of a flood, neither shall there be from henceforth a flood to waste the earth. 12 And God said: This is the sign of the covenant which I give between me and you, and to every living soul that is with you, for perpetual generations. 13 I will set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be the sign of a covenant between me, and between the earth. Genesis 9:4-13

The above picture is of the Lamb of God in the Eucharist, please note the direction in which the head is facing. When I was looking at the pictures of what God has provided me, I kept seeing this one hover in the picture. So I took my camera and video taped what I saw it doing. But God had other plans because what came out is the result that is on the video, the changing of colors and where the body of the lamb is, the face of God is seen, at least for me. The face of the lamb is also turned as if looking straight at us as well. Please do not copy this video as it is Sacred, nor the picture of the Eucharist. Please respect this request.

Anyway it's like the covenant in which he gave to Noah. The bow that is set in the clouds. This video remarkably has done the same thing, the sublte changes of color while the face of God is brightened in white.
