God's Wonderful Love

 Love is the Greatest Commandment

As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love. John 15:9-10

Jesus gave us two significant commandments, that have been around since they were given to Moses. 1. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 2. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The two that have the greatest affect on the rest of the commandments. It's not easy when we follow our wills. We can love ourselves with a huge ego, but then that means we exclude others. We can love others but refuse to love God. There are many ways we love but the way Jesus and the commandments ask of us. To love without limits. We can do the same, we have our own trinity to offer to God, where we give love from heart, soul and mind, this is our trinity to give back to God the love he so lavishly gives us. We have three in one within us. But many are not united with their trinity's, some lack a soul. Some lack a heart, and some lack a mind. In the context of not using their mind for God's glory but for their own self driven purposes. We have a gift within ourselves, to love completely. It is uniting the three to make one with God. This is the ultimate love that God asks of us.

 A Light

Jesus replied, "My light will shine our for you just a little while longer. Walk in it while you can, and go where you want to go before the darkness falls, for then it will be too late for you to find your way. Make use of the Light while there is still time; then you will become light bearers." After saying these things, Jesus went away and was hidden from them. John 12:35-36

 Seek Heaven

Since you have been raised up in company with Christ, set your heart on what pertains to higher realms where Christ is seated at God's right hand. Be intent on things above rather than on things of earth. Colossians 3:1-2

This seems to pertain to those who were around when Jesus was alive. Yet we too have this when we are baptized in him. We are raised with Christ in our hearts. Many seek the kingdom of God all their life and follow diligently, never faltering. Then there are many who have fallen away, seeking what fills, but not in faith. We are intent instead on what the world offers to fill an empty void. We purchase many things to bring us comfort, but it is only fleeting. It's all well and good at the time, but soon we continue looking.

Our motives in life can be good, when we realize it's what God offers us that brings us lasting peace. When we set our sights on heaven and not on the things of this world. Then comfort takes on a different light. Don't be asleep in where you seek your desires, seek them from above, for your never know when he will come.

 I Believe

The word is near you, on your lips and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach). For if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Faith in the heart leads to justification, confession of the lips to salvation. Romans 10:8b-10

Any doubt about Jesus rising from the dead, pretty much sums it up on where we stand with our faith. On shaky ground.

When we fall in love, we know with conviction that the other loves us. When we doubt the love another person has for us,it causes distress within us, doesn't it. We tend to not feel fully comfortable with this person. There are many things in our lives that bring us comfort, but none can bring a surety than the love we have with God. Or in the belief that Jesus came from God, for us to know love in the greatest sense. Without God (Jesus) we have no love. We have no life, we are but an empty shell, hollow.

It truly is in what we believe, Jesus rising from the dead we know without doubt the source of life. It's never too late to believe this.

 What Fruit are We

If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.
By this is my Father glorified,
that you bear much fruit and become my disciples
.
John 15:7-8

Do we ever notice the many times we asked for something in prayer, and later found it was answered. Keeping God's word close to our hearts enables us to ask in faith, for what we need.

I recalled all through my life, that most of what was asked for was answered. For me I noticed, even when I think I didn't notice. Most of everything written about is from observation, and from dealings with others. But mostly it is all guided by God's Spirit.

There is something about asking God to protect us, and it being delivered. All my life this was and will continue to be my prayer. There are times when I don't feel so protected, from people and often the cruelty that is dealt to others. I've witnessed people being deliberate, yet they go to Church. I am not to judge their hearts, but their actions speak loudly.

We are not producing fruit in those times. No matter how pious we are when these actions produce ugliness. It makes the rest of the Church look like rotten fruit.
When we remain in him, guaranteed all our actions are fruit producing of the sweetest kind. What fruit are we then? Sweet or bitter.
