God's Wonderful Love

 Blind Shall See

Father, how you long for us to see with the eyes of faith. Today you show us your patience with a blind man, who needed an added touch to restore his sight to normal. How you took him off by yourself to bring this to him. That shows me dear Father how you take each of us by your hand and bring us to you. You have brought home to me a reality of how much you love us to do this. That not only in the Gospel have you done this, but you continually do this today in our lives. Yet we often keep our eyes closed to how much you are at work in our lives. How you restore us in the very simple act of Reconciliation. Through the Sacrament of your Love, the Eucharist, with a longing in our hearts to see you daily in our lives.

 From My Heart To Yours

Today is a day where people send out meaningful words to declare their love to each other, or give gifts to show their love. Father I have no gift to give you, nor a card with meaningful words, all I have is my heart. This I have given to you always even when I was rebellious. Father I could give you flowery words, but I want to give you all of me. Everyday when I wake up I give my day for the greater glory of your love, that my life is not complete without you in it. What is the greatest thing to have ever happened in my life, is you Dear Father. I found I can love you with all my heart and love others just as equally. Has this then been my lesson all my life. I am glad then for the profound lesson. You not only have my undying gratitude, you have a most loyal and devoted love. Everything I think of and feel is for love of you Father, where I pray to be united with you always. From my heart to yours everyday not just today on Valentine's Day. I Love You With All My Heart, this is my declaration of love to God.

 Glory To God

My Jesus, you have given a parable to ponder. When leaven rises it fills with holes, creating tiny air pockets to fill the bread. Are you telling the apostles to watch out for the rising, puffed up egos of the Pharisees, and that of Herod.

Granted yeast puffs us out, doubling us in size, but in this particular parable we are warned of this, to guard against overinflated egos of the Pharisees, and the Political Herod. In this context Jesus is warning them of what will be coming, their dissent against God, as we continue to witness the growing agitation of those seeking the downfall of Jesus.

Yet the apostles did not understand this parable, thinking it was about them having only one loaf of bread. Jesus knew at that moment their hearts were hardened, after feeding a multitude of people with only a few loaves, the apostles still have yet to open their eyes and ears. Is it because it was right before their eyes and ears that made it difficult for them to understand. Just as when we are in a situation, when we walk away from it do we understand what it was about. Because of the Divine nature of Jesus, his parables to the apostles needed explaining, even though they witnessed what Jesus has done. Or was it that they were paying more attention to what was going on around them, than what Jesus was doing. Just as we do at times, we give more attention to what is going on to others when we are in God's house, than we do giving to God. Where even there we rise above ourselves as though we are leaven. God Bless you all with a smile in your heart.

 Signs

Jesus today you sound so sad, such a big sigh was felt in your words, because the Pharisees were seeking a sign from you. Yet they refused to see by the many miracles you have been performing. Are we like this too, when you do things to get our attention. Do we doubt, the proof you so lovingly give us? Father I beg your forgiveness, for the many times you took the time to seek me, and I in my stubborn nature refused to see your hand in my life. Father I was a child, taking some of the smallest steps toward you, today I run with joy to you, knowing that all you have done during the course of the history of the world was to bring us to your loving arms. How you have given us more than enough proof in the Old as well as the New by giving us your own Son as the sign of signs. I for one believe this, and I pray there are more that do so also. That for us in our time we will be the one's to show you that faith in you is very alive. God Bless you all with a smile in your heart.

 Proof

The love of God is the greatest we will ever know. He gave us something extraordinary to see in the testimony of his Son and those who he has touched. Today we see in the first reading how a leper is to be proclaimed unclean, in the Gospel we witness Jesus healing a leper. One from the Old Testament and the other from the New Testament. Jesus has fullfilled a prophecy, that we are blind to see. He has come to bring salvation. That is why he requested the healed leper to go to the Priests to offer what is prescribed by Moses; for their proof.
I am thankful for Jesus' coming, for without him we have had no life. How it has taken so many prophets to bring to light the coming of Jesus to fullfill what has been God's plan. Do we wonder what his plan for us now is? I do, yet I also believe he is seeking much more from us than we are willing to give to him. It does seem that as we progress in time, we see the many changes in life to bear witness to the Gospels. Yet as time goes on the further it seems we go from God. we see the many things that call us to him, but we look away and continue on our own way.
I do admit my mistakes in life, I forgive myself, as God has forgiven me, it has taken me a hard long look at my errors and how I went wrong to correct my sins. All I can give is my testimony, that through the years when I screwed up, there was a very deep love for God, that saved me from falling into the very pits of hell. If there is anything out of this, it is how even when I did wrong there was always something right. Being kind to all who I encountered, loving those who I met, without prejudice. This is love of neighbor, accepting all irregardless of what they look like or their circumstances in life, or how they treat you. I did that and it took me a long time to realize that I did exactly that. There were things that I followed in my life that lead me to where I am, even when I was at odds with God. I never stopped loving him. God is my treasure, and I want to share this treasure with others.
